Flatwork- Wine Cork Pedestals

It’s up to your imagination what they can be used for. All pieces shown are made with American red oak frames, stained in a provincial color and covered with two or more coats of an environmentally safe water-based satin clear finish. The bottoms have felt pads to protect other surfaces.

Center Piece, Candle Holder, Plant Stand or Vase?

If you have your own corks and want just the frames, we can price them unfilled. No adhesive is furnished. Pedestals are shown with various profile square and round bases and tops.

Choose the optional Vase Top and convert the pedestal into a vase for dried flower arrangements– add the optional insert to use for fresh flower (wet) arrangements.

We fill the frames with re-purposed (used) corks cut in half lengthwise and packed tightly to minimize the gaps. Every effort is made to not have two of the same corks in one piece. To do so, some sizing of the corks is done to help insure uniformity.

Shown: 3-1/2” dia. x 18" high octogonal red oak frame stained in provincial color and finished in clear satin holds 80-85 half corks. Shown with 5-1/2" dia. ogee profile base and 4-3/4" dia. top. Other base and top options are available. Ready for incandescent 1-way, 3-way, CFL and LED lamps. Stands 19-3/4" overall from base to top. Customize with your own diameter and height requirements. Harp is available but shades are not included.

Table lamps can also be made in the square pedestal design to any desired width and height.
